FRIENDSHIP EVENT & DINNER AT THE KOREAN MILITARY ACADEMY
This event is to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice. It will be held at the Korean Military Academy(KMA) on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 14:00
If you are from the 16 participating countries, we would like to welcome you to this event. Please register at the link below.

감사합니다. 귀한 행사를 준비해 주신 정성길 총장님의 카프에스피 그리고 신하영 총장님 비롯해서 수고해 주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다. 그리고 귀한 행사를 흔쾌히 수락해 주신 육국사관학교와 오늘 함께 해주신 생도 여러분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.
그런데 오늘의 주빈은 16개국에서 온 친구들입니다. 대한민국이라는 기적은 이 친구들의 할아버지 할머니들의 결단을 통해서 가능하게 되었습니다.
이친구들 중에서는 한국어가 익숙한 친구들도 있겠지만, 그렇지 않은 친구들이 생각보다 많습니다. 저도 한국어가 편하긴 합니다. 하지만 이친구들을 존중하는 표현으로 지금부터 영어로 인사말씀을 전하도록 하겠습니다.

Hello, everyone. I'm David from Truth Forum. I speak Korean much better than English, but today I'd like to speak in English to express my deepest respect to international students from the 16 countries that participated in the Korean War. I greatly appreciate you being here today. Thank you.
Let me show you some pictures. Let's check them out together.
This is the center of Seoul during the Korean War. As you can see, everything was destroyed.
Can you guess where this is? It's Gangnam in the early 1970s.
This is also Gangnam, Banpo Expressway Terminal, in the early 1980s.
This is what Korea was like after the war.
But by the grace of God, the support of the United States and the international community, we, Korea, have become one of the most developed countries in the world.
It's a miracle. This miracle was only possible because of the decision your forefathers made 70 years ago.
Whenever you see pictures of Korea like this, you should be proud of what your forefathers did for this country. I really appreciate it.
However, please remember. Our mission is not yet finished.
Because the people in the North are still suffering in the darkness.
I'm not advocating for war. we don't need war to bring peace and prosperity to the people of North Korea. But we can surely achieve it if we go together for the high cause of freedom and truth.
So, I'd like to ask you to stand up and say it loud with me.

The organizing team did a great job for these events. I have a few suggestions though 1. Make a Kakao talk group (or WhatsApp chat group) that includes all Korean War Veteran's Descendants (with proof) so that it's easier to share information about future events 2. Informing about the event a long time before it is held so that the participants can free their schedules on that specific date Other than that, I found it to be successful! Thank you for the invitation~

Thank you for the Consort invitation, but I couldnt attend due to my tightful schdules these days. Thank you for sharing the event's contents, I will write a blog about it soon.
